Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Arcas Air Conditioning was highly recommended to me by a neighbour and I can understand why. The team did a fantastic job of installing air conditioning in a large kitchen/diner and were very knowledgeable about the best type of unit. It was a neat, well executed job and their carpentry surrounding the outside unit was excellent. They were also very tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm. Their quality (and speed) of communication was also excellent.

The installation team were fantastic – friendly, professional and incredibly tidy. They left the rooms exactly as they found them, and you genuinely wouldn’t have known they’d been there.

A great experience all round with a lovely team. I’d highly recommend them to anyone considering air conditioning.

His team did a great job cleaning up and even built a wood cover for the unit outside. I would definitely use Alan again and highly recommend.

FAQs for Air Conditioning Installations

How much does air conditioning installation cost?

The cost of air conditioning installation depends on factors such as the number of rooms, system type, property layout, pipework requirements, and installation complexity. At Arcas Air Conditioning, we provide clear, tailored quotations based on your specific requirements.

What type of air conditioning system is best for my property?

This depends on the size and layout of your property, how many rooms you want to cool, and where the indoor and outdoor units can be installed. We can recommend suitable options, including split, multi-split and ducted systems, based on your requirements.

Do I need a site survey before installation?

We normally provide an initial estimate based on the information and photographs you provide. If you are happy with the estimate, we arrange a site survey to confirm the installation requirements before providing the final quotation.

Do I need planning permission for air conditioning?

Planning requirements depend on your property and the proposed location of the outdoor unit. Additional restrictions may apply to listed buildings, conservation areas or certain types of properties. We can advise you on any requirements relevant to your installation.

How long does air conditioning installation take?

Installation time depends on the number of rooms, system type and complexity of the installation. A standard single-room installation can often be completed within a day, while multi-room and more complex installations may take longer.

Can air conditioning provide heating as well as cooling?

Yes. Modern air conditioning systems can provide both heating and cooling, making them suitable for use throughout the year.

Do installations qualify for 0% VAT?

Most residential air conditioning installations qualify for 0% VAT, since HMRC treats fixed, reversible air conditioning systems as air source heat pumps. This doesn’t apply to commercial installations. This relief runs until 31 March 2027, after which it reverts to 5% VAT. We’ll confirm your installation’s VAT treatment as part of your quote.
